About Us
Classically Homeschooled is a start up project in the Gulf coast area bringing used curriculum and books, nuggets of wisdom and academic support to home educators. At this time, CHS will accept gently used homeschool curriculum and supplies for consignment and/or cash. Currently all books are sold on-line or at local co-op functions upon request.
Martha Benton is developing this business because of her love of all things related to home education. She homeschooled for 17 years in Mobile where she was a member of Moffet Road Christian School. Martha is married to Tom Benton and she has three children, and two grandchildren. She was the founder and co-op leader for Classically Homeschooled for 10 years, homeschool academic advisor, and founder of the Pride and Prejudice Ball program. Martha Benton is available to speak to local homeschool groups about various homeschool topics and offers training for homeschool co-op leaders. She also started the Pride and Prejudice Ball program in the Mobile area over 10 years ago, and is available to offer guidance to those groups who are interested in starting their own program.
